  1. Hi, Eldeen! Thank you for taking the time to talk with me today about your headshot and personal brand business. It’s something I’m also interested in and would love to learn more about what it looks like to be a branding photographer! What is the name of your photography business? Palm Lake Headshots

  2. Describe the type of photography services you offer. I specialize in individual headshots, corporate headshot sessions, and commercial branding photography, providing businesses with captivating visual content for their branding and marketing needs. This includes product photography, corporate headshots, lifestyle shots, and architectural photography.

  3. How long have you been working as a photographer? I've been a professional photographer for over 15 years now! The past several of those years have been focused on adding branding and commercial photography to my headshot sessions when clients need more imagery to help their business succeed.

  4. What inspired you to pursue photography as a career? My passion for story and knowing others led me to the beauty and impactful art known as photography. Storytelling through visual artistry and the ability to evoke emotions through photographs inspired me to pursue photography professionally.

  5. Can you share some key accomplishments or awards you've received in your photography journey? I've had the honor of teaching photographers nationally how to have a successful headshot and senior portrait business, as well as have created a full course that is also nationally used. I love teaching! In fact, my degree is in teaching.

  6. Describe your photography style and any specific techniques you employ. My photography style is clean, contemporary, and sophisticated, true-to-color with strong, professional lighting. I shoot with a focus on highlighting the unique selling points of a brand or product. I use advanced lighting techniques to create striking images that leave a lasting impression, and of course, I want every client to feel AMAZING in their headshots and branding portraits!

  7. Who is your target audience? Describe your ideal clients. My target audience comprises entrepreneurs, corporate businesspeople, and small businesses of all sizes looking to elevate their brand image with high-quality visual content. My ideal clients include startups, established companies, and creative agencies seeking powerful imagery to enhance their brand identity.

  8. What sets your photography apart from others in the industry? I have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of how visuals influence consumer perception. I pride myself on delivering images that not only showcase products but also tell compelling stories. I know how important it is to be known by your audience. This storytelling through headshots provides just what is needed to help future customers trust and know a business owner.

  9. Do you specialize in a particular niche or genre of photography? Yes, I specialize in strong headshots, and branding and commercial photography, creating visual narratives that align seamlessly with my clients' brand identities.

  10. How do you establish a connection with your clients to make them feel comfortable during a photo shoot? I prioritize building strong relationships with my clients by actively listening to their vision and goals. We always start with a fun strategy session over zoom or coffee and get to know each other! During our session, I engage in open communication, making them feel heard and valued throughout the creative process. We don’t rush, and enjoy the experience!

  11. Are there any specific locations or venues you prefer for your photography sessions? I'm adaptable and can work in various settings. However, I find that natural light outdoor locations often complement the branding aesthetics for many of my clients. I also like to do one full set of images in my home studio with professional lighting that makes clients feel like they just popped off the page of a magazine.

  14. How would you describe your personality or brand voice? I am approachable, professional, and results-driven. I want my clients to see an immediate improvement in their business once they begin using their new branded photos. I wanted to provide others with the same feeling.
