Same Actor, Different Looks
In order to best represent your abilities, brand, and types as an actor, it’s important to have different looks within your headshots.
When you book a multi-look session, your agency can submit you for more roles. These looks will be type-specific so that casting directors can instantly imagine you in the role.
For instance, you wouldn’t want to submit a headshot that looks like a “street-smart” type of character with a serious expression and black clothing if the role you are trying for is “best friend” or “BBQ dad or mom.” However, you would absolutely want to submit that more film / theatrical look if you were trying for a crime drama TV series.
Here are a few examples of actors who opted for a multi-look session. We always include marketable types that are more general, and often include more specific looks as well. Talk with your agency to see if a multi-look session would be the best choice for you.
Teen Actor Headshots and Child Actor Headshots in Orlando, Florida:
Acting Headshots in Orlando, Florida
Every actor in Orlando, whether film or theater, needs a great headshot.
Your Acting Headshots should jump off the page, by showcasing your talent and abilities as an actor.
Casting directors need to instantly know:
your unique point of view as an actor (what do you have that nobody else does?)
your character (what is your type? Can the casting director easily envision you in this role?)
that you’re a professional (you are good at what you do, and can be trusted with the role)
Above all, your headshot set should clearly communicate that you are PERFECT for the role. Headshots in the acting and film industry and a vital first impression and is one of the most important investments you can make to be seen and NOT overlooked.
Whether you are a new actor - just getting started, or are a seasoned actor and familiar with the industry, acting headshots should be renewed every year to keep your face fresh. I love photography of all kinds! But my favorite type of photography is headshots.
I have tried (and many times, failed) all types of photography. I have photographed 3 weddings (let’s just say, that is a particular set of skills I do not have, haha!), loads of families, children, and wildlife, and after all my fun, I have decided that my favorite type of photography is headshots.
I am an acting headshot photographer!
The people I meet make my life better, I adore one-on-one time, and like to provide individuals with the best set of portraits they can get in the Orlando area. Because I have decided to specialize in headshots above other types of photography, I have become very aware of what headshot photography requires regarding lighting, interacting, post-processing, posing, and what we are communicating in our headshots in central Florida.
When to choose a muliti-look acting headshot session
If you aren’t sure if you really need several looks, you may be right! Oftentimes, 1 look is all an actors needs. Before you decide which session is right for you, see if you relate to one of the following.
A 1-look acting headshot session is right for actors who….
Are just starting out and getting their feet wet - possibly in acting classes. Aren’t yet ready to sign with an agency
Have an upcoming audition and need a refresh in order to stay relevant and seen by casting directors. (Sometimes, casting directors who have passed on your headshot previously won’t think twice about the same headshot and will pass again quickly. give them something to think about by providing a new shot)
Need to represent a different type. For instance, if “lady boss” is now a type of role you’d like to try for, but you only have highly commercial headshots, you will need one that represents that type more specifically so that casting directors can easily envision you in the role)
It has been about a year since your last headshots. It’s time to refresh if you want to stay relevant in the industry.
Need a look for a theater audition or program
2 and 3-look acting headshot sessions are right for actors who….
Are just starting out in film and looking to sign with an agency
Have had a change in their appearance (such as hair cut or color, weight loss or gain, etc.)
It has been a few years since headshots were updated
Having several looks in your repertoire is normally very beneficial to film actors. You may need different types represented in your portfolio, and your headshots need variety to show your range - especially on Actors Access, Casting Networks, etc.
Bring a few outfits that represent your range and let’s have fun capturing your talent and abilities.
More info about Orlando’s child acting headshot studio
I am located in Central Florida - Windermere, specifically! I regularly photograph kids for Disneyworld auditions, Universal Studios auditions, agency applications, talent agencies, commercial and film, and of course, theater!
I have had the pleasure of photographing kids from all over the state, including for kids and child actors in Windermere, Winter Garden, Ocoee, Gotha, Dr. Phillips, Orlando, Winter Park, Kissimmee, Bay Lake, Miami, Horizon West, Clermont, Tampa, and all cities in the central Florida region.
Child and Teen Actor Headshots in Orlando, FL
In addition to adult acting headshots, I also offer Child and Kid Actor Headshots! I have photographed more than 400 kids for various child talent agencies and love capturing those cute, unique, bookable personalities.
I have two types of sessions for child actors - film acting and also theater actors. Teenage Actor Headshots for theater are a unique style of actor headshot - usually needing a more simple background and classic lighting to stand out in the field. Think New York headshots - simple and powerful.
Film acting headshots for kids and children would normally be on a simple, but environmental backdrop (simulating a set). These type of backdrops help casting directors envision young actors on the scene.
My children’s and teen acting headshots in central Florida are the same rate as the adult sessions. You will simply book the same acting headshot session as if it were for an adult - 1 look, 2 looks, or 3 looks.
For theatrical acting headshots, a 1-look headshot session will usually suffice! I strongly recommend updating your professional acting headshots every year for children. Ask me about my once-a-year subscription rate!
During every teenager and child acting headshot session,
we will include both commercial expressions and also theatrical expressions. It is strongly recommended that you have one of each in your acting portfolio.
Acting headshot 8x10 prints
If needed, I can always include a ready-to-print 8x10 crop option with a simple frame and your child’s name. That way, there is no guessing on crop, and we have a very professional headshot that you can bring with you to in-person auditions.

WHAT PHOTOGRAPHER SHOULD YOU CHOOSE FOR YOUR ORLANDO ACTING HEADSHOTS?
There are quite a few headshot photographers in Central Florida. Some headshot photographers are good and know what they are doing with dedicated lighting and experience. Many photographers are just enthusiastic hobbyists with expensive cameras.
Taking headshots for professional actors is a very unique niche that is different from other types of photography.
This type of portrait photography needs someone who is experienced in photographing Headshots for actors specifically. It’s really about what is required and expected in this industry, which cannot normally be achieved with a photographer who doesn’t specialize.
The very first thing you should do, when considering who your photographer should be, is if you like their work. Can you see yourself in the style of headshot? Will your agency approve and be happy to send your headshot to potential jobs?
If you don’t like the style of headshot, you should stop right there and move on. If you are unsure, ask for an expert’s opinion! My goal in every session is to provide you with the most effective, attractive, and fun set of headshots possible. We also want you to look like YOU! Casting directors in Orlando definitely want to see the same person IN person as they do in the headshot. We want you to be the very best, most accurate version of YOU there is in your portrait.
If your agency or coach has specific goals for your actor headshots, I love listening! Have your coach or agency communicate with me what their needs are for your best headshot, and we will adjust any lighting, backdrop, etc., that we need to in order to accomplish your unique goals.
I am not a cheap photographer, but that’s a good thing, when you are looking for headshots that work! However -my rates are designed to be approachable for those who are serious about their careers, and I believe my work speaks volumes about the value of your investment! Our goal is to get you booked and get work under your belt!
A common question I am asked is: “Do I get the high resolution files of my final headshots, or just the thumbnails?”
Your Professional Acting Headshots Are Delivered in 3 useful ways
After your headshot session, you will receive a link with ALL of your images from the shoot. Once you have chosen your favorites, depending on which session option you went with, I will perfect each photo and send them over to you in several versions.

All of your final, edited actor headshots will be delivered via email in 3 versions:
Full resolution for printing
A modern “actors” crop in full resolution
(usually tight and clean - leaving the focus on your eyes, smile, and expression).

Working with Eldeen was inspiring! She made me feel completely comfortable in her studio and in my skin. And her knowledge of the camera, her eye for impeccable lighting, and her direction for me and my posing resulted in a collection of truly beautiful headshots.
Rodney Smith
It was a pleasure working with you on my headshots. Your professionalism, vision, and direction were top notch. The way you were able to create a type of character by simply directing me to convey a look and expression, was very impressive. I've been in the acting business for over 10 years, thus, I've worked with many photographers in that time, and I believe that you, and your product, rank at the top for me. I know I will be returning for future headshots.
