3 Must-Have Outfits for Film Acting Headshots in Orlando Florida
When you're trying to get an acting role in a movie, you want to make sure that your headshot is as professional and polished as possible. We've got you covered with our three must-have outfits for your film acting headshots for the Orlando market.
As an acting headshot photographer in Orlando, I am constantly keeping up with current trends in outfit choices, as well as the tried-and-true, never-go-out-of-style clothing options that actors should wear for their headshots. I am constantly doing what I can to be the most effective and best acting headshot photographer in the Central Florida area. Part of my job is helping YOU look GREAT.
There are just a few simple rules that when followed, will give us the best shot at getting headshots that will get you that audition and help you look like the star and professional that you are! These three outfits are designed to make an impression on the film casting director when you're auditioning for a movie or commercial, or trying to get in with a film acting agency in Orlando, FL.
1. The Classic: This is the tried-and-true outfit that will never go out of style, and it's the perfect way to show casting directors that you have a sense of style. A solid color t-shirt or blouse paired with a pair of dark jeans and boots is always a safe bet. Choose a strong color that supports a bold, confident personality, such as emerald green, cobalt blue, purple, or black. Avoid white and pastel colors - they tend to wash out your skin and take over the focus of your acting headshots.
Women, for this classic outfit, make sure your outfit has a lower neckline and avoid turtle-neck shirts. Lower necklines help you appear tall, thin, and elegant.
2. Feminine/Masculine: Women, bring one outfit that truly shows off those curves and makes you look truly beautiful. These outfit choices must still be fairly simple (don’t bring in loud patterns or too much texture), but should show your feminine side. It’s important to make sure your dress or outfit is still breathable and moveable. For the men, bring an outfit that speaks to a masculine character. A black T-shirt is always a great choice or a suit coat that fits you great.
3. A Character: Do you tend to audition for comedic roles? Bring an outfit with pizzaz (and feel free to break some rules with this outfit! Fun patterns and colors are ok here). If you would like to audition for a strong role, bring a power suit. A chef? Bring a chef's coat! Help your casting directors envision you in the role you are meant to play. During our headshot session, we will have a lot of fun during this part of our session. Warm up those facial expressions - we will use them!
No matter what your goals are, preparing in advance for your acting headshots is a MUST. The more work and consideration you put into choosing your perfect outfits, the better your chances are at getting auditions and getting booked. We have even had actors get booked for roles based on the headshots alone!
Make sure each outfit is COMPLETELY wrinkle-free and looks crisp and professional. Show the casting directors that you can be trusted to take your job seriously by preparing your very best to present to them.
I love being a film acting headshot photographer in Orlando because actors here have so many opportunities and are dedicated artists.
